CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA – The Virginia Piedmont Technology (VPTC) and the Charlottesville Venture Group (CVG) have decided to join forces and merge their organizations.  Both groups are non-profit, private sector entities.

The organizations are leaders in the technology and business communities in the region. “Both organizations are long-time proponents of entrepreneurial and technology businesses in the region.  By combining our organizations, we strengthen our ability to advocate for entrepreneurism and technology-based development,” said Gary Henry, Chairman of the VPTC.

The new combined organization will have over 300 member companies comprising thousands of technology professionals.  Both organizations have offices in downtown Charlottesville and will combine their groups in a new location.
